Can’t See The Forest, Fuck The Trees!

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

“What we need to focus on is not seperation of church and state. What we need more than anything else is the seperation of private corporations and the government. This unholy union has taken the lives of millions upon millions of people just within the last couple of decades. Time for people to wake up and not be distracted by these types of overplayed non issues like ‘church and state’. That’s not the problem we’re faced with in 2008”

AH - “You’re right. The corporate buyout is something that needs to be stopped. Hence the march we have begun organizing to do so. However, in the meantime, since religion, namely christianity acts to oppress, mislead, and corrupt the masses, then we need the fucking separation. And it’s not overplayed if it’s still acting to legislate with it’s bigoted hypocrisy, so thanks. Some of us still can be active beyond our ADD and do a little something called multitasking.”

“It’s idiotic to clean dirty windows when the house is on fire. Maybe you should go get checked for ADD”

AH - “Ah, but if the windows were clean, folks could probably see in and notice the fire since they haven’t seem to catch on yet from all the smoke.

And that wouldn’t be ADD, it would OCD”

***************

This is a little exchange took place on youtube over a film I put together called, Separation of Church and State : Keep Your God’s Hands Off My Country (bit lengthy I know, but I’m a sucker for a good sub-title). I figured I’d blog about this because there are bound to be other people who agree with fucktard818 (that’s not really the users name, the name has been changed to avoid demeaning them). So I want to point out my point of view, with regards to this kind of logical denial that we need to be fighting multiple fronts at once, and that this kind of multi-layered attack is possible and necessary.

You see, we live in a dynamic society with multiple social hierarchies in place, all acting simultaneously to oppress and undercut different sections of our public. No one structure would act to undo them all, through it’s demise, therefore we as compassionate and activist-minded members of our masses have a responsibility to fight this kind of aggressive domination where ever we come across it. There is no order of importance, each kind of intolerant, discriminatory act of suppression needs to be combated. They all have a body count, and ignoring one until it’s unnecessary death toll is equal to some imagined standard by which we measure the compassion of our response, is ludicrous.

If we deem ourselves fighters for what’s right, how do we justify ignoring any wrongs being done? Especially when we all have access to the simplest and most powerful activists tool, information. Informing people of the truths of the terrible situations all around them, acts to open new eyes and minds to this struggle and bring in new fighters to the ranks. As I responded to fucktard818, some people’s eyes wouldn’t ever be open to one problem area, if they hadn’t first been exposed to something else. If I hadn’t had my eyes open to vegetarianism, I would never have seen the cruelty that further led to my veganism.

If you think this approach is flawed, then I think you are part of the problem! If you think that I am washing windows in a burning house, then I think you can’t see the forest for the trees. I think you are looking for a magical Deathstar solution that will destroy all of our societal ills with one Jedi, weak-spot luck-shot, and in doing so, you are missing the bigger picture. That all of these fronts need fighters or things will get worse, and by the time you are ready to address these problems, they will further be out of control, and more desperate situations than they should ever have been. Or maybe worse, you can see the forest, and the trees, but you just don’t give a fuck about them, because you’re too busy fighting off the aphids among the wild grass on the forest floor thinking you are somehow going to save us all.

Celebrity State!

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

Okay, so I’m not a bandwagon kind of guy, and I certainly don’t want to associate myself in anyway with the distasteful likes of Rush Limbaugh, but then, who in their right mind would? And I don’t want to agree with McCain’s addle-brained perspective on things either, cause well, then I’m afraid I’d have to voluntarily commit myself to psychiatric observation, and possibly electro-shock ‘therapy’. But as I was reading the build-up and the hype around Obama choosing his running mate, and seeing the frenzy that the media whipped up about it, I began to see some of what McCain was talking about with Obama’s ‘celebrity’ status. I will say right here and now, that I totally disagree with McCain’s insistence that Obama is on par with Britney or Paris, and he is not vapid or empty at all, this is a man of substance. It just so happens that within the ingredients of that substance, there’s a dash of ‘celebrity’.

It’s not his fault by any stretch, but it’s not like he hasn’t played into it…fully. And this whole VP hype, and the texting of his decision, and all of it, just seems well, less than substantial. It seems gimmicky and, yes, a bit vapid. It just feels like a distraction…already! And he’s not even president, yet. This is probably the most important election we’ve had, since the last one, but it just feels like we have a lot to be talking about, and moreover, that they should be talking about. Seems to me, if Obama was really about the issues and changing things, he wouldn’t play into the bullshit games that this three-ring political circus revisits each election cycle. All I’m saying, is that if he was truly wanting this election to be different, he would have just be all like, “That’s my healthcare plan. And by the way, after much consideration, Joe Biden’s going to be my running mate. Now about that conservative deficit.” or something like that.

But that’s not exactly how it played out. And again, it’s not entirely his fault. We have let this hype and hysteria take over and given rise to this celebrity state that he resides in. Be honest. He didn’t just come forward and proclaim himself a celebrity. That’s not exactly how it works. (Right? Robert Bowen is a celebrity!! ….nothing. Didn’t think so.) So the public wrote the check, it just sucks that he cashed it. Good to know he can resist the temptation of influence. You know, in case he’s ever in a position of, say, power. So shame on Obama, and shame on us.

Now I know, in this election, Obama is the most exciting thing going on. Let’s face it, with McCain running against him, Obama could be ten times less dynamic and charismatic than he is and he’d still be kicking that old man’s ass from coast to coast. And there’s no way McCain could pull off this kind of build up for his running mate. Who’s it gonna be? Who gives a fuck? No one. Not even conservatives are really talking about it. Could be Romney, could be Lieberman. Could be nobody really gives two shits, because Obama’s celebrity shine is far brighter than anyone else in the race. So he’s the only one that matters.

Poor Biden, actually. He’s in a huge shadow cast by Obama, and is going to have to really step it up if he wants to seem like a contributing factor to this ticket, and not merely window dressing for those who have been critical of Obama’s experience. Especially in regards to foreign policy issues. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a feisty one, but that’s not quite gonna cut it. Hell, McCain’s feisty. Batshit crazy and detrimental to the health and well being of the nation, but in a feisty way. So can Sen. Joe measure up to the celebrity standard set by his partner in this campaign for the white house?

Who the fuck cares!!??!! That’s not what matters! Let’s not give the media another distraction for the next month and a half, as they try to gage whether or not Obaden fits as the next celebrity couple of the year. Forget all those issues you wanted to know about. This is the era of sensationalist yellow journalism. We don’t really do the whole issues thing. If it bleeds it leads, and if it has import, they won’t report. But that’s the price we pay for living in this celebrity state.

Obama Legislates Failure, McCain Just Exemplifies It!

Monday, August 18th, 2008

So McCain has launched yet another attack on his rival in the presidential race, creating a talking point out of an asshat claim. McCain is stating that Obama’s opposition to the critically acclaimed, highly lauded surge in Iraq, not only shows poor leadership, but demonstrates his wanton disregard for our nation’s safety. Saying further that Obama put his political self-interest above that of his country’s. Wow, sounds like a scathing rendition of the events as they took place. And it is…if you occupy the same delusional state of mind that McCain seems to suffer from.

Here are some things that McCain failed to comprehend or realize that he was relating in his speech to a group of veterans on Monday as he tried to push his lame-brained propaganda like the dim-witted spin doctor he’s hoping to replace. First, as Obama has pointed out, that while violence may have gone down, the political reconstruction benchmarks that the surge were supposed to facilitate were not accomplished. So just as his predecessor before him, McCain metaphorically stands arms outstretched thumbs-up and grinning like the madhatter in front of a ‘Mission Accomplished’ sign, thinking that the surge was a rousing success that now puts victory within our sights. In fact, he’s so sure that we can win this conflict, he is still rejecting the idea of timetables for withdrawal of our major combat troops. Timetables that the Iraqi government are insisting that we provide.

And since he still fails to grasp the concept that such a time frame should be provided, his speeches about our military role in Iraq ring of a ruthless occupation that will only end at his satisfaction. I don’t know if that was an intended part of his message to these brave service folks who dedicated their lives to and served their military proudly, but since our military generally doesn’t like to be thought of as unwanted occupiers I don’t think it was a purposeful tone. Maybe they didn’t pick up on that insulting bit of the rousing re-imagining of the facts.

Furthermore, McCain’s claim that Obama not only predicted the failure of the surge, but that he literally tried to legislate failure in Iraq by not voting to fund the surge when it was up for vote before congress, is completely baseless and poorly played by the aged Senator. Here McCain, like the Bushites have done for years now, is hoping that the people’s emotional reaction to the statements made with as much vigor and vitality as McCain can muster (which isn’t much), will cloud their recollection of the facts. Essentially proving his inability to deal with the reality of the situation, and as a result, manufacture his own. Because if McCain would have remembered, the people (I know, I know, ‘the people’ don’t matter anymore but still) weren’t in support of the surge either. A portion of the public, who had lost their taste for America’s imperialistic actions overseas, and had foolishly hoped that Congress would follow in suite with the people’s will and not vote for funding to continue this unwarranted war.

McCain Mission Accomplished

That’s right, Johnny. Obama was simply trying to represent the people he promised that he would, not just appease the president and his band of profiteering corporate cronies who wanted to be able to keep conducting their illegal, yet profitable, business in the Middle East. Obama stood shoulder to shoulder with the discontent masses and he honored the promise that he made to uphold their voice. He did not undermine the soldiers safety who are being placed dishonorably in harms way to further agendas that have been kept from them, as did all those who voted to provide more funding to this foreign policy nightmare. He only acted in accordance with what we the people thought would insure that our brave soldiers would be swiftly returned home.

Again, it doesn’t seem like attacking someone who did their job the way it was supposed to be done, despite the uproar from the white house would be a smart move. In fact, one could argue that it simply points out the shortcomings of McCain’s position which was by contrast, the stance that he would keep funding this infected effort despite the people’s will, wishes, demands, or whatever. By arguing that Obama was putting his own political self-interests before that of the country’s, you are showing that your own political self-interests involve lining the pockets of despicable war profiteering corporations and not promoting the people’s idea of American mercy and might. You show that greed and corporate interests fair better under your rule, than actually acting with the responsibility and tact that would further act to keep American’s safe. I can’t think that was an intended statement either, but you never know with McCain. Maybe he’s just appealing to his true base, and he’s just hoping that the masses are too distracted with emotional reactions to hear it for what it is.

Ah, but therein lies the true crux of the situation. The distraction. McCain, like his tyrannical antecedent and apparent brain trust buddy Bush, is counting on people to be too afraid to be alert and aware. He’s counting on the Conservative created decline in public education, and our pharmaceutical fueled attention deficit disorder to keep us from being able to put two and two together and see the deep flaws in this lacking logic. This exemplifies McCain’s, and the rest of the Bushite leagues’, disrespect for and low expectations of the masses. Otherwise, they wouldn’t continue to turn substantial and factual public discourse into the lowest common conservative denominator of propaganda pushing, scare tactic, misleading political talking points to pander to their elite bases, and keep the people in a deluded state of reality in unrest. So many inflamed over nonsensical and baseless accusations designed to play on people’s sense of pride in their country and keep them from actually processing the ‘information’.

I’m not saying that Obama’s a flawless candidate, or even that I am supporting him. If you’ve listened to my podcast you know that I’m uneasy about both of the major front runners for the office. But at least Obama seems more like his own candidate, rather than a carbon copy of the colossal failure of a corporate figure head that is President Bush. Which is pretty much what McCain has shaped up to being since he totally turned away from his criticism of the Bush Administration years ago, and slid effortlessly into their blood money lined pockets.

McCain/Bush Hug

So while saying that Obama, ‘tried to legislate failure’ may be a good sound bite, let’s hope McCain’s assessment of the people’s capacity for cognitive thinking is just as lacking as his mental facilities and it comes back to bite him soundly on the ass!

There Once Were…

Friday, August 8th, 2008

There once were some people,
From all cultures and classes,
Who lived their lives surely,
With their heads up their asses.
Walking around listlessly
So dazed and confused.
Purposely scared and misled
By the 10 o’clock news.
Cowering all their days
From so many different things
Never realizing there were those
Who were pulling their strings.
You see the government
Enacted a strict rule of fear.
One they manipulated
And had fully engineered.
And the masses frightfully
All followed along.
Without ever questioning
What was going on.

Too afraid to believe
That they’d been betrayed,
Too ashamed to admit
They let themselves be played!

There once were some people,
Whose fear was disrupted,
Shaking themselves awake
And then they just erupted!
They saw the wool
As it slipped from their eyes,
They saw the strings and
The blood spilled by the lies,
They heard the truth,
With all it’s faults and it’s flaws,
And they knew they could
No longer live their life on pause.
They struck out for change
Trying to spread the word,
Of all that they’d seen
And all that they’d heard.
They knew it’d not be easy
No worthwhile fight ever is,
Vowing to keep fighting
As long as the lie lives!

Too afraid to believe
They’re too far down this slope,
Too ashamed to admit
That they have lost all hope!

There once was a nation
On the verge of dissolution
Until the awakened rose up
Sparking a revolution!
And just as they feared
When confronted with the proof
So many still refused to
Acknowledge this truth.
Even going so far as to
Violently resist
These notions that could act to
Crack the facade’s bliss.
So the enemy they faced
Came at them from two fronts,
But the awakened’s ground was held
Baring the battle’s brunt.
And they all held to their vows
Never relenting the fight,
For they knew they were just
They knew they were right.

Too ashamed to admit
They truly knew all along
Too proud to accept
The fact they were wrong.

Too proud to go gently
Into the dark of this night.
Too afraid of the lies
To not stand up and fight!

There once were some people
Who could no longer take it.
Who knew there’d be no future
Unless they fought to shape it!

Beware of the Borders

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

So after reading a particularly enraging and frightening article on Bob Torres’ blog, and not really seeing the story cropping up anywhere else, I thought I’d post about it here to offer another word of warning to some of the folks who may still have missed this story. Apparently, United States law enforcement have been granted the right to confiscate your laptop (or any other means of digital or analog information storage) for an unspecified amount of time without warrant or cause! That’s right! I know it may seem unconstitutional…mainly because, well, it directly violates a person’s 4th Amendment Constitutional rights…but that’s neither here, nor there…okay, so it’s directly here.

So at the borders to America, if you are anyone who tends to live your life vicariously through your laptop (and especially if you live, say, dangerously without a back-up) then you may want to rethink bringing your computer with you at all. If you are like me, you are distrusting of anyone handling your most precious equipment and data, other than yourself. So the idea of letting some complete stranger (who may be frustrated with the number of bullshit search and seizures they’ve had to pull that day), savagely sort and sift through my meticulously, unorganized stuff doesn’t sit right with me.

Perhaps you’re thinking that I’m just being reactionary, and I’ll be the first to admit, I do get that way when my government acts to undermine the laws that protect the private citizens of this nation (yeah, I know, I’ve been angry quite a bit lately.). So you’re probably right. I am being reactionary. I’m sorry, but since safety can’t ever be fully guaranteed, I’m not willing to compromise freedom for nonsensical bullshit posturing. I don’t care how you dress it up and how frequently you try to force feed it to me.

Perhaps, since they are targeting our borders, they are hoping to impose these kinds unconstitutional laws on those who aren’t citizens of the United States, so technically, they aren’t governed or covered under those civil liberties. I know it’s hard to imagine our government trying to dance around a technicality like that with the laws that we are governed by…well, hard to imagine, unless you are currently being held by the United States Government in foreign countries that allow for operation outside those laws…I’m sure they have a pretty good idea about it.

I don’t understand the threat that they are trying to prevent either. It seems the only target here could only be information. Which, given the recent strides our government has been making lately to control not only the flow of information, but the content as well, I guess outside contradictory information coming into the country and mixing with ours could upset the status quo….of course, that would require people paying attention. Removing their heads from their asses and actually looking at the state of the world around them, not just the latest coat of bullshit that’s been thrown up over it today.

Kind of got off on a tirade their, but the substance is the still the same. Those who wish to keep their laptops, hard drives, flash drives, cellphones, iPods, pagers, beepers, video and audio tapes, all papers and other written documentation including books, pamphlets and ‘written materials commonly referred to as ‘pocket trash’ or ‘pocket litter’’, out of law enforcement’s hands and in your own, guaranteed, then leave all that stuff at home. At least it’s somewhat safer there.

Salmonella Subterfuge

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Okay. So the tomatoes were pulled and the people were scared into submitting to a tomatoeless existence until the CDC gives the all clear for the masses to remove our heads from the sand and put the other “t” back in our TLT sandwiches (the first “t” is for Tempeh…that’s common right?). Anyway, back on track. But after months and months, the threat is still out there and over a 1,000 have become ill from eating tainted veggies.

Scrambling to make sense of this outbreak, the CDC (in their infinite wisdom) have now added raw jalapeños and Serrano peppers to the potentially infected foods that consumers need to be wary of for now. Though to be fair, Serrano peppers were only added to the warning because most consumers can’t tell the difference between them. So now jalapeños have become tainted in this outbreak. And just exactly how did these vegetables become contaminated in the first place? Why it’s from animal feces tainted water supplies being used to water the plants.

But here’s the thing. What if this was planned? I know, I know. I sound like a conspiracy-minded dietary extremist hippie, but just follow me here. Several years ago, Congress passes legislation that will guarantee that all produce sold in America will not only be heavily sprayed with toxic pesticides that were once banned (and in some countries, they still are banned!), but they will also all be irradiated to guard against infection. Even the organic veggies. Now, not only will this seriously damage the food supply in America, and strip the vegetables of all of their nutritional value, but it will endanger the people. Both with the increased toxicity of our groundwater run-off and of our air as these chemicals are sprayed.

So there is outrage. And there are people who are standing against this changing tide…but nothing is done. Except, for suddenly in the past couple of years we’ve had serious outbreaks of food-borne illnesses among the vegetables. And the people are afraid. Less outrage, more frightened people looking for answers. Well, suddenly the largest of these outbreaks takes place a year before this legislation is set to take effect. Coincidence? Probably…but again, go with me.

Suddenly when the public hears of these harsher sprays to cleanse and protect their vegetables and the irradiating that will kill any bacteria on our veggies, do you think they will think about the negatives, or do you think they will sigh a breathe of relief thinking back to these mysterious vegetable illness outbreaks and go right along with this bullshit, possibly manufactured, scenario. I say, mysterious, because it’s weird how plants get tainted with an animal based infectious bacteria, almost as if it was intentional.

Who stands to gain from this? The folks that always do. Big Business.

The chemical manufacturers that can charge whatever elevated prices they want, since the processes are mandatory by law (which will further add costs to small farmers who can’t afford these new supplies and then have to sell out to the larger conglomerate farms, but I’m sure that’s just an accidental side-effect to this necessary solution for safe foods). Big Pharma who will naturally reap the rewards of the increased toxicity and the rewards of people having to buy vitamin supplements to replace the vitamins and minerals there foods will no longer contain (oops, again. Damn, irradiating, oh well, in the name of safety).

Maybe to truly be safe, we need to stop spraying more lethal substances on our foods. And we need to dismantle the Meat and Dairy industries, whose unsafe and careless behaviors and practices have polluted and tainted the water sources to begin with and caused these contaminations to spread (Not to mention it’s just good for your soul). Maybe we need to stop catering to the corporation’s yearnings for earnings and focus on keeping the water, soil, and air safe for us and our food supply.

Bumper Sticker Bumpkins…a bitchfest!

Friday, June 20th, 2008

Okay, so the passed couple days have been rare to say the least. In specifics, due to the combination of ignorance (Colorado hillbilly mentality) and bumper stickers (a staple of the American roadway). Now I love a good bumper sticker, in fact, I’ve got a couple of favs, one of which (possibly the combo set) set off my favorite kind of redneck response…the classic “go back where you came from!” called out from a van that pulled next to me as we sped down the road. This brings me to our first stop along the bitchfest.

Okay, fuckwit, let’s go. You gave me little opportunity to fire back anything at you as you sped away, but you didn’t know one thing…(well, I’m sure that’s a huge understatement, but anyway) I’m an angry hippie…with a blog. I tend not to let shit go. Now I assume you can read, because you saw the Missouri tags on my car and properly pronounced Missouri as you bade me to go back there. I also assume that you can read, because, I’ve concluded that it had to be something about one of the stickers you read on my car that upset you so. (Perhaps you are just a Missouri hating asshat, or worse just a hater of anyone not from “your” area) So I am only hoping that with some magic twist of fate you find your way to reading this. For here, on this soapbox, I’m taking a moment just for you today.

Now I know, that I have made some broad assumptions, and you’re probably saying that if I assume, I only make an ass out of you and me. But you were already an ass so I have no qualms with that, and I’m always fine and fucking dandy making an ass out of myself…sometimes I’m bored. So we’ll take the literacy assumptions as read, and move on.

So what was it that made you so angry? Or was it all of my bumper stickers that made you see red? “Keep Abortion Legal”, “If you’re not outraged, then you aren’t paying attention”, or “When the rapture comes, we’ll have the place all to ourselves” (complete with Pentagrams). I don’t know which one did it for you, or didn’t to be more correct. Or again, did the combination just prove to be overwhelming and too much? Just trying to figure out what kind of closed-minded fuckwit I got a hold of…I guess it doesn’t really matter. You’re a fuckwit any way you slice it. I mean, come on! “Go back to Missouri!”? Really? Grant it, my thumbs up back to you, probably wasn’t the best comeback, but I figure it probably burned your ass real good.

“Go back to Missouri!” Trust me, I’m tempted. At least back in Missouri they know how to do redneck aggression right! Not like you cliche`d Coloradan colorless commentators. “Go back to…” What an ass…and I’m not actually from Missouri, so goes to show you D’oh Sixpack, don’t believe everything you read.

Our second stop was someone else’s bumper sticker that I read, that I wanted to comment on. Yet another winner, this one read, “Treat Liberals Gently, They Are Frightened By Reason.” I took issue with this. It’s simply not true. We aren’t frightened by ‘reason’, but I can see why you’d think that (well, ‘think’ might be a bit strong a word, but we’ll leave it for now). It’s not reason that we are afraid of, it’s YOUR reasoning that frightens us. Or generally, when any conservative tries to use reason, cause we just know that it’s not going to end pretty….or reasonably. Face it, you’re just not good at it. It’s okay, you tried something new, it didn’t work, so move on. Just go do what it is that you all do best. Fuck things up for the rest of us.

Perhaps a more accurate bumper sticker would read “Treat Conservatives Gently, They’re Easily Provoked By Logic.” You see, that’s a funny bumper sticker, because it plays off your crap one, and it’s just so true that it’s humorous. Now I know that some will say that I just can’t take a joke, and to you I say this. Fuck you! I can take a fucking joke. Suck my sack!

It just so happens that I can a joke if it’s funny…this, not so much. It’s just symptomatic of a pandemic problem that we have in this country. The overtly hypocritical pot calling out the kettle. The conservatives in this country have acted and behaved without reason (or sense) for years now, and I’ve had my fucking fill! So let’s really look at this.
REASON
1. the mental powers concerned with forming conclusions, judgments, or inferences. - (Yeah right…mental powers.)
2. sound judgment; good sense. - (Please!)
3. normal or sound powers of mind; sanity. - (Missed it by that much…)
4. Logic. a premise of an argument. - (Since the Conservative arguments have been lie based propaganda filled sound bites lately, their premise isn’t one of logic or reason, just bigotry and greed. So this one doesn’t apply either.)
5. to think or argue in a logical manner. - (Conservatives lately, with their scare-tactic politics have effectively mounted two kinds of social debates as of late. The First - OH MY GOD IS THAT A BOMB!?!, oh no it’s not, sorry, what was your question? The Second - I’m rubber and your glue, whatever you say emboldens the enemy and sticks OH MY GOD IS THAT A BOMB!?!, oh no it’s not, sorry, what was your question? Neither approach can qualify as an argument…or thinking.)

So you may need to rethink your sticker there…hehe, I said rethink. As if you did the first time.

Here endeth the bitchfest.

Bullshitatarians : An angry hippie vocabulary lesson

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

**Excerpt from Episode 22 of the podcast**
Anyway, let’s clear things up for anyone who hasn’t quite gotten it quite yet…with a little angry hippie vocabulary lesson.

Vegetarian - Noun
A person who does not consume any animal flesh as part of their diet. It does not matter if this flesh is whole, chunked, ground up, or liquified for a nice smooth drinkable coronary, it doesn’t matter where the animal comes from either. Be it beef, pork, foul, or fish, that’s right, contrary to popular misguided idiocy, beings that were sentient in water, don’t magically become plant matter once you pluck them from their water source they just become much less sentient. Do not confuse this new subdued deathly sentience with a total lack of any sentience ever…it still once was a living, functioning, mobile, centrally nerved being. Therefore, eating any of these forms of ‘animal flesh’ is not vegetarian! Not even a fucking little bit!

Now vegetarians tend to eat cheese, which I guess, could be considered vegetarian, hell I considered it vegetarian when I was vegetarian, because I never related the fact that veal production in this country is actually related to the dairy industry. I had never made that connection and as a result, I continued to partake in a product that directly cost lives, which for me went against the whole purpose for making the change in the first place. For those of you who don’t know, cows have to have just given birth in order to produce milk….just like every species of animal that produces milk for it’s offspring. So they continue to impregnate them at every available opportunity and then they take the young baby cows and the males are shipped off crated and chained to prevent muscle development and detenderize the young calf. Then they are killed and served as veal (because you have to have some way to get rid of that excess without costing too much time and space to those in charge). Despite this fact, most vegetarians continue to eat cheese, and eggs…that’s a vegetarian.

Strict Vegetarians - extreme noun
A person who does not consume any animal flesh (no matter, as previously mentioned how it is prepared, processed, or plucked from the sea), nor do strict vegetarians consume dairy or egg products. They also limit their angsty animal cruelty exploitation evasions to their dietary intake, and continue to buy, support, and use products that are still derived from animals such as leather, wool, silk, or fur.

Vegan - hardcore noun
A person who lives their life to avoid the exploitation of animals in whatever form they find it. They try, knowing that some products aren’t derived in any other way, to keep their lives free from this kind of cruelty. I qualify this, because, as a member of modern society, we are forced to exist in a capitalistic world that works against us and our goals.
