25 is a shit ton. Go hippie!

Wsetboro Baptist church craziness FTW! These bastards are some of the worst scum of the Earth, making their children participate in hate and discrimination, and emotionally abusing so many innocent people. I could go on and on about them, but than your podcast would really get it’s explicate warning. But damn those cock-suck homophobic bastards really do make me wish for hell, so they can burn in it.

I’m all for direct action, but I hate the “activists” who destroy peoples property. There’s a big difference between saving animals and than burning down labs/slaughterhouses, or protesting at these areas. To protest at someones house isn’t right though, and it can be really hurtful to everyone, and how are you going to stop people from experimenting on animals by scaring them instead of taking down the system? People are stupid, and unfortunately activists are people.

OH noes Cold war! I guess with Iraq and Afghanistan going south, and not having anything that could count as charisma or personality, a sequel to the cold war is a good way to go. Ya know, just sayin’ and all

Hey, Ashes, you’re right, I did have a shit ton built up. It’s funny the way my browser will end up looking as I get closer to having a show ready. I keep tabs for most of the stories I’ve come across open so that I can keep referencing them and keep them ready as I prepare the show.

Yeah, WBC blows my fucking mind! I don’t see how some of them haven’t been killed by some grief stricken family member yet. They’d probably say it’s god’s guiding protective hand. I would say that these people they insult and badger have more restraint, self-control and grace then the WBC fuckers do!

I agree, they are seriously crossing a line.

Yup! It was about time for an arms race to really shock the people into submission, isn’t it? When all else fails, instigate an international nuclear showdown! *sigh*

    Much love

    Hi!

Thanks for giving my blog a plug there… I don’t rant nearly as much as I should… that’ll change eventually :-)
I haven’t had TV in the last 10 years so I wouldn’t have knows if the trash reef story had broke the into the news. National media definitely isn’t going to discuss or make people aware of the trash reefs…the government controls the media, and the government doesn’t want rational people to find out about the bullshit they are doing. The recycling suggestion would make total sense, but that would probably make governmental lazy asses do some work.

LaVena Johnson’s story is very sad. I heard about this recently as well. This makes me so sad. Who the hell in their right mind would pour acid on their genitals before they kill themselves. BUT the ARMY is a part of the government so I’m not totally surprised that they would cover this up.

Yay- for the Iraq PM! Time to bring our people home! Can you blame them! If our own people are being raped and pillaged, can you imagine what is happening to the supposed “terrorists”?

Westboro Baptist church… fuck them in the neck!

I completely agree that when activists demonstrate at the homes of vivisectionists, it jeopardizes the chances that the innocent people who are adversely affected by this of ever listening to the good arguments for Abolition. Thanks for talking about this topic!

Jim decided to try to find some info about the terrorist list (wonder if our names are listed on there after bulking their system)… I don’t know if you’ve seen this website, but it shows a dozen people on the list, among them 14 of the 9/11 Hijackers, multiple members of Congress, military personnel, and even a 6 year old!

Congratulations to both you and Angie! 10 years is amazing! That’s awesome!!! Here’s to another 10, another 20, another 50!

Jumpin hell… I found a website that has pics of them dumping the subway cars outside of Ocean City, MD. They have been stripped down and look pretty empty but still a scary site.

This was an excellent podcast as usual. So many things to piss me off, yet so little space and time. I just recently saw the movie Sicko, which immediately popped into my head after listening about the woman dying in the hospital. Go figure. This BS is exactly what happens when you have a government run by the corporations, for the corporations. A friend recently accused me, as an environmentalist, of being anti-capitalism… as if that were a bad thing. At first I laughed because it’s true, to me there are more important values worth framing a society around than profit. But I have to say that when the right-wingers preach about how America is a capitalist society as though to not be a capitalist is tantamount to being a comi-traitor, I cannot help but to get a little pissed.

I was no poli-sci major in college but last I remembered this country was founded on the principles of democracy, not necessarily capitalism. In fact, if you have not yet seen the movie The Corporation, I highly encourage you to do so. It discusses how corporations were originally mandated by law to automatically dissolve after a set number of years to keep them from becoming too large and powerful. That was until around the time of the civil war, when corporations successfully sued the government for civil liberties and constitutional rights.

It was all downhill from there and now we place the rights of corporations in higher regard than those of real people. As a result we have insurance companies that won’t insure, industries that pollute or consume resources that we need for survival, politicians consulting industry lobbyists instead of their constituents and hospitals that won’t help the sick if they cannot turn a buck. If that is what it means to live in a capitalist society, sign me up for socialism. I like to think my morals are just a little bit deeper than the stack of bills in the cash register.

Oh yeah, and as for the G8 summit and hypocrisy … what about all these fat (metaphorically speaking) politicians from the richest, most polluting and environmentally destructive nations trying to iron out an agreement on global climate change only to sit down to such a carbon-intensive feast. How much you want to bet that was not a locally, organically grown vegan feast? It’s enough to make your head spin in shear amazement at the double speak. What a joke, fitting a clown like Bush was center stage.
